I've sent over 50 resumes out for positions where my qualifications are an exact match to the job requirements but have received only 3 responses. I'm left with the feeling that the only thing that could account for the next to zero response is that my date of college graduation is "telling" employees that I'm too old to be a viable candidate. I'm frustrated and don't know where to go from here. I know it's a numbers game and I'll keep applying but can't get over the fact that something is keeping me from getting positive feedback and the only thing that I can attribute it to is my age.
