Even though employers who engage in what I refer to as &quot;stealth&quot; terminations may avoid pre-taliation claims or workers&#039; comp claims prior to the big layoff, employees who are terminated are still able to contribute to the health insurance costs if they suffer psycyhological damage such as depression or physiological complications of illness due to stress.  And employers undoubtedly pay a portion of those additional costs, as do taxpayers.</description>
